I like all of it,...Thank you for this post, Hutch! I like all of it, especially your observation about Elder Bednar and how the Lord increased his capacities to accomplish all his necessary work. It's amazing what the Lord will do for us when we put His work first, with "an eye single" to His glory. I think we should, in our prayers each morning, purposefully decide to put God's work for us at the top of our priorities that day. Then we have to be willing to sacrifice certain pursuits and habits (for Aaron, maybe it's watching TV) in order to accomplish that work. We also have to remember "good, better, and best." Even the GOOD things we pursue sometimes aren't the best things. Satan would like to distract us with so many good things that we never get around to doing the most important things. When we ask the Lord to help us identify what we need to give up in order to get to the "best" things, He helps us see more clearly; then He gives us the strength to do it. Two years ago I was prompted to delete my facebook account. Although I thought facebook was a good way to keep in touch with family and friends, the Spirit told me that for me personally, facebook wasn't important. My decision to get rid of it has helped me focus on the most important things and enjoy peace in my life. Aaron, as soon as you gather up enough courage to "quit" TV, you will be blessed with peace of conscience, knowing you did what you knew you should do. Then you'll find yourself accomplishing things with the Lord that wouldn't have been possible before. Good luck! But thus far I've been too "afraid."

The battle continues....Aaron H.https://www.blogger.com/profile/08955209430145581209noreply@blogger.com
